In addition, the adaptive controller and the parameter adjusting mechanism for calculating the adaptive parameters used therein are operated in synchronization with the combustion cycle, and the control cycles of the adaptive controller and the parameter adjusting mechanism are changed according to the engine speed. As a result, by reducing the amount of matrix calculation, the computer load on the car can be reduced to complete the calculation within 1TDC, and the controllability can be improved by shortening the waste time, and the operation time such as high rotation is reduced. Adaptive control can be continued even in a state, and good controllability can be obtained.
