titleOfInvention High brightness and high luminous efficiency plasma display panel
abstract The surface discharge AC plasma display panel covers a pair of transparent electrodes 22b supplied with current from the metal bus electrode 22c through a connection portion spaced from each other by slits 22g, and the transparent electrode pair and the metal bus electrode. Dielectric layer 22e and a porous insulating layer 22f covering a portion of the dielectric layer on the metal bus electrodes, and when the surface discharge is performed between the pair of transparent electrodes, the surface discharge is diffused to the bus electrode. The surface discharge cannot pass through the slits, and for this reason, the surface discharge is concentrated on the transparent electrode.
