abstract | The present invention relates to a method for preparing a chiral compound using an asymmetric ring opening reaction with a nucleophile of an epoxy compound. Specifically, the asymmetric ring opening reaction of an epoxy compound and a nucleophile is carried out in the presence of a salt represented by the following formula (1) and a chiral salen metal catalyst.
