abstract | Provided is a lithographic plate comprising a support substrate having an optional durable, non-melt-absorbing ink-receiving layer dispersed over the melt-absorbing layer. The melt-absorbing layer contains high weight percent of organic sulfonic acid component. The printing plate further comprises a hydrophilic polymer layer interposed between the melt-absorbing layer and the substrate. The printing plate may also include a first layer below the melt-absorbing layer with the adhesion-promoting agent present in the first layer. The present invention also provides a method for producing a lithographic plate and a method for imaging a lithographic plate from a lithographic plate that has been imaged in a laser image formation method and then washing with water or a washing solution. |
