abstract The present invention relates to novel derivatives of 10-deacetylbacatin III and 10-deacetyl-14β-hydroxybacatin III having cytotoxic and anticancer activity.n n n These compounds are prepared by selectively oxidizing hydroxyls to have a keto function at position 10, starting with natural taxanes or their homologues, and then esterifying with several substituted isocerine chains at position 13 as needed.n n n The product of the present invention may be administered orally or by injection in a suitable formulation.
