abstract | The present invention is an oxide containing at least one element and silicon selected from the group consisting of alkali metals and alkaline earth metals, wherein tertiary N-(2-hydroxyethyl) carboxylic acid amide is subjected to intermolecular dehydration reaction to tertiary N Providing a catalyst used to synthesize alkenyl carboxylic acid amides. This catalyst allows for the continuous and effective production of tertiary N-alkenyl carboxylic acid amides from tertiary N-(2-hydroxyalkyl) carboxylic acid amides without the use of any auxiliary raw materials, thereby deriving from secondary raw materials. It makes it possible to prepare simply and safely tertiary N-alkenyl carboxylic acid amides without the generation of any by-products (waste). |
