titleOfInvention Method for Seamless Connection of MPOA network and ATM-based MPLS network
abstract 1. TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTIONn n n The present invention relates to the interworking method of MPA network and MPM-based MPS network.n n n 2. The technical problem to be solved by the inventionn n n According to the present invention, when the Multi-Protocol Over ATM (MPOA) network and the Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network based on Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) are interworked, an IP (Internet Protocol) address lookup can be omitted from an interworking node. To provide a seamless connection method between MPOA network and ATM-based MPLS network using a connection and a computer-readable recording medium recording a program for realizing the same.n n n 3. Summary of Solution to Inventionn n n The present invention provides an entry point label edge router (LER: Label Edge Router) in a method of connecting an MPOA (MultiProtocol over ATM) network and an ATM based Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network. A first step of confirming whether a packet has been received; When packet reception is detected in the first step, an IP address of an information element (IE), a virtual path identifier (VPI), and a virtual channel identifier (VCI) are stored in a label information base (LIB). A second step of recording in a Label Information Base and establishing a virtual connection; When sending a setup request message or a message without a Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) / Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI) value stored in the Label Information Base (LIB), the corresponding VPI / VCI value is stored in the LIB and an IP (Internet Protocol) address lookup is performed. In the case of transmitting a message having a VPI / VCI value stored in the LIB, a third step of performing a switching transmission using the VPI / VCI stored in the LIB without performing an IP address lookup operation.n n n 4. Important uses of the inventionn n n The present invention is used to interwork MPOA network and MPLS network.
