abstract | The Sn-Bi alloy plating bath of this invention has a pH of about 2.0-9.0, and contains Bi3 + ion, Sn2 + ion, a complexing agent (I), and a complexing agent (II).n n n The complexing agent (I) is (1) aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 1 to 3 carbon atoms of the alkyl group, (b) aliphatic hydroxy monocarboxylic acid having 1 to 3 carbon atoms of the alkyl group, and (c) alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. Phosphoric aliphatic hydroxypolycarboxylic acid, (d) monosaccharide, polyhydroxycarboxylic acid produced by partial oxidation of this monosaccharide and cyclic ester compounds thereof, and (e) condensed phosphoric acid. The complexing agent (II) can be (s) ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), (t) nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) and (u) trans-1,2-cyclohexanediaminetetraacetic acid (CyDTA). |
