abstract The present invention relates to an acid hydrolyzate and peptide having an inhibitory function of angiotensin converting enzyme isolated from laver. The present invention relates to an acid hydrolyzate having excellent activity inhibitory activity of angiotensin converting enzyme by acid hydrolysis of laver to hydrochloric acid at a concentration of 2.5N. It has the effect of separating the decomposed substances and ultrafiltration of the acid hydrolyzate having the activity inhibiting function of the angiotensin converting enzyme, and purified by pure adsorption, ion, partition and adsorption chromatography, reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography, and angiotensin converting enzyme. A low molecular weight peptide having a molecular weight of 580 Da having an activity inhibitory activity was prepared, and an acid hydrolyzate and a low molecular peptide having an inhibitory function of the angiotensin converting enzyme have an excellent effect of lowering blood pressure.
