titleOfInvention Surface Coatings for Visual Display with Enhanced Color Contrast
abstract Surface coatings applied to the outer surface of a display screen for use in a self-emission color display device, such as a cathode ray tube (CRT), with a display screen with a phosphor coating on the inner surface are two adjacent primary colors such as between red and green or between green and blue. Improves color purity and contrast by reducing redundancy in the color spectrum of the liver. One organic dye is added to the internal antistatic layer or the external antireflective layer of the antireflective / antistatic coating applied to the display screen, wherein both layers contain silane. The dye serves as a color filter that only absorbs light in the frequency range between adjacent primary colors such as the 460-500 nm range between the blue and red phosphors and the 560-600 nm range between the green and red phosphors. Silane binders are added to act as binders that cross the organic dye and silane together. In this way, the organic dye is adhered to the silane in the antistatic or antireflective layer to prevent the organic dye filter from separating or leaving these layers in the outer coating of the display screen.
