abstract | The present invention relates to an activity inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme isolated from mustard seed and closely related to the induction of hypertension, and to a method of separating the same, wherein the activity inhibitory agent of angiotensin converting enzyme is removed after removing the lipid of mustard seed. By extracting with water at ℃, the residue was subjected to a series of purification processes such as butanol fraction, methanol precipitation, partitioning and adsorption chromatography, hydrophobic silica gel column chromatography, so that the rate of degradation by intestinal proteolytic enzymes is very low, thereby lowering blood pressure. It is effective to be useful in the functional food or drugs of the dragon. |
