titleOfInvention Process for recycling indium oxide and tin oxide from spent ito target
abstract PURPOSE: Provided is a process for recycling indium oxide and tin oxide from spent ITO target, through which nano-sized high density sintered compact can be obtained. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the steps of (a) reacting spent ITO target with an acid solution to extract indium oxide and tin oxide from spent ITO target; (b) dropping the acid solution into a buffer solution at a rate of 10 to 50 mL/min to maintain pH within 7 and 10, wherein the buffer solution is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of NH4HCO3, CH3COONH4, ammonium binoxalate (NH4OOCCOOH), ammonium oxalate (NH4OOCCOONH4), sodium hydrogen carbonate (NaHCO3), potassium hydrogen carbonate (KHCO3), potassium acetate (CH3COOK) and sodium acetate (CH3COONa); (c) agitating the mixed solution at 25 to 80 deg.C; (d) settling the mixed solution after agitation to obtain precipitates; (e) filtering and drying precipitates; and (f) sintering the precipitates at 300 to 800 deg.C to obtain high density sintered compact.
