The present invention relates to an optical recording medium. In an optical recording medium including a substrate having guide bones formed thereon and a metal recording thin film, a buffer layer, and a reflective film sequentially stacked on the substrate, the buffer layer has a maximum absorption peak in a wavelength range of 680-750 nm and a refractive index at 650 nm. n) more than 1.4. Absorption coefficient (k) is 1.6 or less and n is 1.8 or more at 780 nm. The optical recording medium of the present invention, characterized in that it contains at least one pigment having a k content of 0.001 or more, is reproducible in a CD player and a DVD player, and a metal recording thin film is formed on a substrate to increase the magnitude of the recording signal and to provide optical reliability. Also, since the buffer layer is thin, manufacturing cost can be greatly reduced. In addition, the recording sensitivity and the reliability can be improved when a substance in which weight loss occurs rapidly when decomposed into the buffer layer is added. |
