abstract | The present invention relates to a method for producing an alkylcyclohexanol alkylene oxide containing almost no alkylphenol alkylene oxide adduct in 1) absence of solvent, 2) presence of saturated hydrocarbon solvent or 3) in water.n n n The present invention can prepare alkylcyclohexanol alkylene oxide adducts and alkylphenol alkylene oxide adducts containing 200 ppm or less of alkylphenols. Alkylcyclohexanol alkylene oxide adducts obtained by the method of the present invention are useful for spectroscopic analysis of proteins due to their low UV absorption and fluorescence by alkylphenol alkylene oxide adducts, and the use of conventional surfactants such as detergents. It has excellent characteristics in the field. |
