titleOfInvention CYTROBACTER sp. Y19 AND METHOD OF PREPARING HYDROGEN BY USING THE SAME
abstract The present invention provides a novel microorganism having a high growth rate and a hydrogen conversion rate, namely Y19 (Site No. KFCC-11087) and a method for producing hydrogen by the same, thus producing hydrogen from carbon monoxide. Microorganisms, which are known to be capable of producing hydrogen from carbon monoxide and cell growth in the presence of oxygen, grow aerobicly using an organic carbon source and then produce hydrogen using carbon monoxide under anaerobic conditions. Overcoming the problems of process development using microorganisms is a strain and hydrogen production method of high industrial applicability. In addition, by converting carbon monoxide, which is now thrown away, into useful hydrogen, recycling of waste increases economic benefits and prevents environmental pollution, and the generated hydrogen can be directly used as a clean energy source. It can be used as a raw material, reducing agent, etc., its use is wide.
