abstract The present invention relates to a silica glass composition for a sol-gel process, wherein the composition comprises amorphous silica particles, polyethyleneimide as a main gelling agent, an auxiliary gelling agent, a dispersing agent, and deionized water. According to the present invention, it is possible to minimize the environmental pollution and the use of the gelling agent by applying polyethylene imide as compared to the case of producing silica glass according to the conventional sol-gel process, thereby minimizing the environmental pollution and more economically Silica glass can be prepared.
