titleOfInvention | CD chip synchronization circuit |
abstract | The CDMA chip synchronization circuit is provided for mobile communication systems using the wideband CDMA-method, in particular the direct spread code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) method, in a multi-path low Eb / N12 character o environment where multipath is received in a superposition manner. It is designed to have the ability to reliably perform path reception time detection, in particular synchronous tracking. Here, the radio receiver 101 converts a radio frequency signal into a digital baseband signal, and the search unit 111 detects a reception time for the multipath component included in the digital baseband signal. The detected reception timing is used as the center position on the time axis. The wireless receiver is coupled to a multipath receiver 112 that includes a plurality of correlators, each of which generates a correlation value between the multipath component and the despread code, each delayed by a different delay time. Here, the correlator corresponds to a defined time interval that deviates from the center position for reception on the time axis. The correlator output is temporarily stored in memory 103. Next, the multipath receiver selects the correlator output with the best reception quality from the correlator output by every defined time interval corresponding to the pilot period, so that synchronization detection is performed using the selected correlator output. The outputs of the multipath receivers are combined at maximum ratios to generate received data. |
