abstract The present invention dissolves paclitaxel in a solvent selected from the group consisting of methylene chloride, t-butyl-methyl-ether, mixtures thereof and mixtures thereof with methanol, pentane, diethyl ether, acetonitrile or hexane. Provided is a method of obtaining an amorphous form of a paxtaxel, which is dried. Also provided is a method of removing residual solvent of a paritaxel by spray drying the supertaxel or supercritical extraction.
