titleOfInvention A method for preparation of high viscosity polyalphaolefins using a mixture of 1-octene and 1-hexene
abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing a high viscosity polyalphaolefin, which can be mainly used as an industrial engine oil, in high yield at room temperature and atmospheric pressure using 1-octene and 1-hexene.n n n The method according to the present invention uses a mixture of 1-octene and 1-hexene, which facilitates the supply of raw materials. Moreover, when one type of conventional alpha olefin is used, the kinematic viscosity can be specified by specifying a reaction catalyst, reaction temperature or reaction pressure. And although the viscosity index was adjusted, it is not easy to control the conditions such as the reaction temperature when using the mixture, and after specifying the temperature and pressure at room temperature, atmospheric pressure, and then by adjusting the molar ratio of 1-octene and 1-hexene A high viscosity polyalphaolefin having a viscosity index and kinematic viscosity can be easily obtained in high yield.
