abstract | According to the present invention, the following characteristic particle size distribution conditions are provided to an electrophotographic toner composed of a combination of toner particles and external additive particles.n n n (i) a weight average particle size D4 X μm and a number% Y of particles having a size of 2.00 to 3.17 μm as measured by a Coulter counter, satisfying the following conditions (1) and (2): 2.00 to 40.30 Particle size distribution based on the volume-based and number-based particle size distributions of particles with μm:n n n -5X + 35 ≤ Y ≤ -25X + 180 (1)n n n 3.5 ≤ X ≤ 6.5 (2), andn n n (ii) measured by a fluidized particle imaging analyzer in which the number% A of particles having a circular equivalent diameter of 1.00 μm or more and less than 1.03 μm and the number% B of particles having a circular equivalent diameter of 2.00 μm or more and less than 2.06 μm satisfy the following conditions (3): Particle size distribution of particles having a circular equivalent diameter of 0.60 to 159.21 μm (excluding the upper limit):n n n B-A <0.30 (3).n n n As a result, stable developing performance is imparted to the toner even in the long term continuous image formation in a high temperature / high humidity environment. |
