abstract |
The present invention provides a plasmid for expressing human coagulation factor VIII H-chain, a plasmid for expressing human coagulation factor VIII L-chain, one or both of the above-described H-chain expressing plasmid or the above L-chain expressing plasmid. Both of the animal cells transformed with both, the H-chain transgenic plasmid and the L-chain transgenic plasmid, were introduced into the animal cells to form transformed animal cells, and the cells were cultured. Disclosed are methods for preparing human coagulation factor VIII protein complexes comprising producing a human coagulation factor VIII protein complex in a medium and collecting the above products. The method of the present invention allows for the production of safe factor VIII at high expression levels applicable to the production of factor VIII on a commercial scale. |
