abstract The present invention oxidizes a solution containing a 2-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid and a sugar derivative of L-ascorbic acid showing direct reducibility, and the resulting mixture is a column using a strongly acidic cation exchange resin. Purified 2-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-L characterized by recovering the 2-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid high fraction of this eluate after chromatography. It relates to a new industrial production method of ascorbic acid high content. Therefore, the manufacturing method of the present invention has great importance in the industrial field.
