abstract The present invention relates to cyclohexanol obtained by partial hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexanol by hydration reaction, to cyclohexanone by dehydrogenation, to cyclohexanone oxime by oxime reaction, and to Beckmann potential. In the method for preparing caprolactam, the cyclohexanol is separated and purified before being introduced into the dehydrogenation step so that methylcyclopentanol contained in the cyclohexanol is directly added to the oxime reaction step without being provided to the dehydrogenation step. Providing a method for producing a high purity caprolactam characterized in that the high-purity caprolactam can be economically produced.
