abstract In an optical disc manufacturing method comprising transferring a pattern in which protrusions and grooves are alternately formed from a stamper to a glass base plate by photopolymerization of an ultraviolet curable resin, the glass base plate is preheated by surface treatment with a suitable binder. Before and after surface treatment with a binder, the glass base plate is heated under reduced pressure to improve the bonding properties between the glass base plate and the ultraviolet curable resin.
