abstract The present invention relates to β-cyclodextrin derivatives, and more particularly to β-cyclodextrin derivatives useful for optical isomer separation, wherein the following formula (I) in which a cyclohexyldimethylsilyl group is introduced into the carbon at position 6 New β-CD derivatives are provided which are used as stationary phases of CGC columns in the separation of racemic optically active materials.n n n n n n n n The present invention also provides a method for preparing such β-cyclodextrin derivatives and a method for separating optical isomers using such derivatives.
