If the superabsorbent material is hopped into the absorbent composite at a relatively high concentration, it is necessary to carefully select the superabsorbent material. Characteristics of the superabsorbent material to be considered include the total absorbent capacity, the strain resistance under load, the absorbability of the superabsorbent material under limited load, and the ability of the superabsorbent material to suck up fluid from the discharge zone. By quantifying these properties of superabsorbent materials, we can anticipate which superabsorbent materials are suitable for use in absorbent composites consisting of relatively high concentrations of superabsorbent materials. |
