abstract The present invention provides a novel, injectable nimesulide containing injectable analgesic composition for muscle application. The composition of the present invention comprises nimesulide and a parenteral absorption enhancer. The parenteral absorption promoting agent includes dimethylacetamide, benzyl benzoate, benzyl alcohol, and ethyl oleate. The present invention also provides a novel method for the preparation of injectable nematicide-containing injectable analgesic composition for muscle administration. The composition according to the present invention exhibits excellent analgesic action and is very effective and useful for the treatment of acute pain conditions such as post-operative trauma, pain accompanying cancer, and injuries occurring in sports.
