abstract According to the present invention, the ratio of the centerline average roughness (SRa) to the ten point average roughness (SRa) is 0.030-0.050 by additionally containing an injector imparting surface smoothness and larger secondary particles, and the average particle diameter of the injector is 300-800 nm. It contains 0.01-1.0% by weight of hexahedral calcium carbonate particles or plate-shaped kaolin, and the secondary particles contain 0.05-0.4% by weight of calcium carbonate having an average particle diameter of 600-1500nm, and the physical properties of the resulting film. It relates to a biaxially stretched polyester film for a data storage medium that satisfies the following conditions.n n n n n n n n Where μ k represents the dynamic friction coefficient, Is the average refractive index, n T is the thickness refractive index of the film, R is the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the thickness, Is the average thickness, [r / × 100] shows thickness nonuniformity.
