abstract |
The present invention discloses a novel tumor cell growth inhibitory factor having the following characteristics as a protein obtainable from the culture supernatant of a 3T3 cell derived cell line.n n n (a) molecular weightn n n 3,700 ± 370 Daltons, as measured by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis under reducing and non-reducing conditions;n n n (b) column characteristicsn n n This inhibitory factor is not substantially adsorbed onto the anion exchange resin column at a pH of about 7.4, but is substantially adsorbed onto the cation exchange resin column at a pH of about 5.0.n n n This inhibitory factor has an inhibitory effect on promyelocytic leukemia cells of the human body and cervical tumor-derived cells of the human body, and thus is useful for treating leukemia or uterine tumors. |
