abstract The present invention relates to a drug delivery system for delivering a drug to the large intestine, and the colon drug delivery system of the present invention prepared by treating a polysaccharide salt solution containing one or more types of polysaccharides that can be degraded in the large intestine with an aqueous metal ion solution. The biodegradable and biocompatible materials were used, and the drug can be efficiently delivered to the sugars using colon enzymes without being affected by individual differences in intestinal travel time.
