titleOfInvention Selective Preparation Method of Posinopril Isomer
abstract The present invention relates to a method for selectively preparing and interconverting isotropin of posinopril, an antihypertensive agent that inhibits angiotensin converting enzyme. Each isomer is prepared by mixing with an alkali metal carrier, posinopril, water and a solvent containing a keto group and / or a hydroxyl group, and isolating isoforms formed from this reaction mixture. Lesser exothermic A is produced when the amount of water exceeds about 0.2% of the amount of water and solvent, and more exothermic B is produced when less than about 0.2%.
