abstract The present invention relates to a biaxially oriented polyester film and a method for producing the same. Further comprising 0.05 to 5% by weight of the first polyester polymer layer and at least one silane coupling agent selected from the group consisting of gamma, delta and theta alumina having a Mohs hardness of 6 or more on both sides thereof, based on the weight of the alumina. The biaxially oriented polyester film, which comprises a polyester polymer layer, is excellent in various properties such as surface smoothness, transparency, and high-speed driving property, and is particularly suitable for use in labeling, solar control, glass protection, photo protection, and the like.
