It is about.n n n Gokpi (Ecklonia stolonifera) is a brown algae belonging to the kelp family that grows on rocks within 10m of depth and is used for edible in civilian.n n n The present invention is to examine the antioxidant effect on the lipid peroxidation of methanol extract extracted from gompi methanol and its fractions by TBA assay, and also 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazil (1,1 -diphenyl-2-picry1hydrazy (DPPH)) The free radical scavenging effect on radicals was measured. The methanol extract of Gompi showed antioxidant activity against lipid peroxidation and free radical scavenging. Chromosomal Abnormality Inhibition Experimental results show that the methanol extract of Gompi confirms the effect of inhibiting chromosomal abnormality by benzo (a) pyrene and provides the use for the prevention of aging and the prevention of diseases caused by chromosomal abnormalities.
