abstract In addition to controlling the braking force of the front and rear wheel brakes by a single modulator, the slip ratio of the front and rear wheels is quickly converged to an appropriate value.n n n A target slip rate line having a functional relationship in which a rear wheel slip rate decreases with increasing front wheel slip rate on an orthogonal coordinate with the front wheel slip rate and the rear wheel slip rate as a coordinate axis is determined, and the orthogonality is determined based on the front wheel and rear wheel slip rate. The distance between the current position of the slip ratio and the target slip ratio in the coordinates is calculated, and the brake sensitivity control region is set on the upper side of the target slip ratio line, and it is determined whether the current position of the slip ratio is in the brake sensitivity control region. Then, when the slip ratio current position is in the brake force control area, the control amount of the modulator is determined on the brake force force side of the front wheel and the rear wheel brake according to the distance.
