Corneal sponge and how to use it |
abstract |
The present invention represents a sponge that is placed on the cornea to inevitably absorb the liquid exuded from the surroundings during laser treatment. This corneal sponge 1 improves the protective agent, convenience of use, and the effect of laser treatment of the cornea. The corneal sponge has markings for accurate and easy aiming of the surgical area (3) of the exposed area and microscopic viewing when treating the cornea. The corneal sponge contains cold eye drops to minimize inflammatory reactions that lead to postoperative complications such as corneal clouding and discordant corneal refraction. |
