abstract | The present invention is a spherical resin made of polystyrene and an outer surface of polyoxyethylene. The three-dimensional structure is prepared by suspending polyoxyethylene, which has been changed to enable free radical polymerization, by suspending in water together with monomers such as styrene. A resin of a structure and its manufacturing method are related. The spherical resin of the present invention is a novel polymer material that can be usefully used for the synthesis of compounds having various biological activities such as peptide synthesis and nucleotides. The resin of the present invention is prepared by dissolving a polyoxyethylene derivative having a symmetrical structure in a suitable solvent and then introducing a compound having a double bond polymerizable with a styrene monomer at both ends to prepare a macromer, and suspending the macromer in water together with the styrene monomer. It is prepared by the method of polymerization. |
