abstract | Provided is a photoelectric sensor that can be firmly bonded to a housing while sufficiently preventing dirt. The housing 12 of the photoelectric sensor 10 has an opening 121 that allows at least one of the light from the light projecting unit 14 and the light to the light receiving unit 16 to pass through, and a cover lens 50 that covers the opening 121 and transmits light is arranged. The cover lens 50 is joined to the edge portion 121a of the housing 12 that defines the opening 121, and the outer surface 51 of the cover lens 50 is coated with an antifouling coat 61 while the cover lens 50 is covered. The antifouling coat 61 is not applied to the joint portion 52a in contact with the edge portion 121a on the inner surface 52. |
