Optimal PS modification pattern for heteronucleic acid |
abstract |
It is an object of the present invention to provide a double-stranded nucleic acid complex in which the number of PS modifications in the antisense strand is reduced and the antisense effect is maintained. The optimal PS modification pattern of the double-stranded nucleic acid complex is disclosed. Nucleic acid complexes containing antisense strands with such an optimal PS modification pattern are characterized by low toxicity and high bioavailability. A double-stranded nucleic acid complex containing an antisense strand having the optimal PS modification pattern of the present invention has an activity of inhibiting the expression of a specific gene (knockout), changing the function of a specific gene coating or non-coding RNA, or It is useful as a nucleic acid drug that utilizes the activity of altering RNA function by inducing exon skipping during the processing of premRNA of a specific gene. |
