The endoscope (10) has an insertion portion (14) covered with an outer tube (141) having an outer diameter of 1 mm or less, and an insertion portion having a side length fixed to the tip of the insertion portion (14). It is arranged between an observation optical system including a rectangular image sensor having a diameter of 60% or less of the outer diameter of the portion, an inner surface of the exterior tube (141), and an edge of the observation optical system, and penetrates the exterior tube. It includes an illumination fiber, a cable bundle connected to the image sensor and penetrating the exterior tube, and a connector (27) to which the cable bundle and the illumination fiber are connected. |
