By efficiently absorbing harmful light in the wavelength range from 380 to 400 nm and suppressing absorption of wavelength light of 400 nm or more, which causes initial yellowing, a member having less harmful light and having an excellent appearance can be obtained. It is possible to provide an ultraviolet absorber having excellent light resistance or heat resistance, and further having excellent light resistance and heat resistance, that is, durability. The highly light-resistant ultraviolet absorber of the present invention comprises a 2-phenylbenzotriazole derivative having a thioaryl ring group or the like according to the following formula (1).
