abstract | The composition for an exhaust gas purification catalyst has a composite oxide containing ceria, zirconia and alumina, and copper oxide supported on the composite oxide. The content of alumina in the composite oxide is 30% by mass or more, and the content of ceria is less than 50% by mass. It is preferable that the content of the copper oxide is 3 parts by mass or more and 30 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the composite oxide. It is also preferable that the content of the copper oxide is 3% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less. It is also preferable that the content of alumina in the composite oxide is 50% by mass or more and the content of ceria in the composite oxide is 2.5% by mass or more. |
