titleOfInvention | Method for producing acetic acid |
abstract | Provided is a method capable of industrially efficiently producing acetic acid having a good potassium permanganate test value without incurring a great cost. In the aldehyde separation/removal step, while acetaldehyde which is a by-product is industrially advantageously separated and removed, a step of distilling an aqueous phase and/or an organic phase of the decondensing low boiling column overhead liquid in a decroton aldehyde column is included. The dewatering low boiling column has a reflux ratio of 2 or more (when the aqueous phase is refluxed), and the decrotonaldehyde column is operated so as to satisfy at least one of the following conditions (a-i) to (a-iii). .. (A-i) The reflux ratio of the distillation column is 0.01 or more. (a-ii) The crotonaldehyde concentration (mass ppm) in the distillate of the distillation column and the crotonaldehyde concentration (mass ppm) in the charging liquid. )) (the former/latter) is less than 1 (a-iii) the ratio of the crotonaldehyde concentration (mass ppm) in the bottoms of the distillation column and the crotonaldehyde concentration (mass ppm) in the charging liquid. Make (former/latter) larger than 1 |
