abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for easily, inexpensively and industrially producing a fluorine-containing sulfide compound, particularly a hydrogen and fluorine-containing sulfide compound. The following formula (1): (Cl) n −A 1 −SA 2 − (Cl) m (1) (In the formula, A 1 and A 2 are independently optionally substituted hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and n and m are the chlorine atoms bonded to A 1 and A 2. The following formula (2): (F) n −A 3 −SA, which represents a number and comprises reacting a chlorine-containing sulfide compound represented by (n + m = 1 to 13) with a fluorinating agent. 4- (F) m (2) (In the formula, A 3 and A 4 are independently optionally substituted hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and n and m are the fluorine atoms bonded to A 3 and A 4.
