titleOfInvention | Electro-optic polymer |
abstract | It contains an electro-optical molecule and a base polymer in which a π-electron donor and a π-electron acceptor are conjugated via a π-conjugated bridge, and has an electro-optic coefficient (EO coefficient) of 30 pm over the entire optical communication wavelength band (wavelength 1260 nm to 1625 nm). An electro-optical polymer having a / V or higher and a performance index (FIGure of Merit: FOM) defined by the following formula of 10 × 10-6 cm / dBV or higher. Since the electro-optical polymer of the present invention has excellent performance in the entire optical communication wavelength band, it can be used as an optical modulator, an optical switch, an optical transceiver, an optical phased array, a LiDAR (Light and Detection and Ranging), an electric field sensor, or a terahertz generator. It can be suitably used for a detection device or the like. |
