abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a projection unit capable of realizing a HUD that suppresses a decrease in visibility due to external light. It has a projector, a polarization-dependent diffuse sheet that diffuses and reflects the projected light emitted by the projector, and a mirror that reflects the light diffused by the polarization-dependent diffuse sheet. The polarization-dependent diffuse sheet diffuses linearly polarized light in one direction. The problem is solved by reflecting and transmitting linearly polarized light in a direction orthogonal to one direction. |
