abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-aromatic polyamide fiber which is an acid-resistant polyamide fiber which has excellent long-term heat resistance and good spinnability. SOLUTION: The fiber comprising a semi-aromatic polyamide resin having a melting point of 280 ° C. or lower, which satisfies all of the following conditions (1) to (3): (1) The dicarboxylic acid component of the semi-aromatic polyamide is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and 40 to 80 mol% of the diamine component is 2-methyl-1,8-octanediamine. (2) It contains 50 to 500 ppm of a copper compound in terms of copper with respect to the semi-aromatic polyamide. (3) The peak temperature of the glass transition point is 120 to 140 ° C.
