Abstract A medical device having a silicone hydrogel that hardly cures with drying and hardly irritates a site that comes into contact with the human body is disclosed. The medical device has a silicone hydrogel satisfying the following conditions. (1) The water content in the case of water content is in the range of 10% by mass or more and 70% by mass or less. (2) The content of silicon atoms in the total mass in the dry state is 8% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less. (3) The tensile modulus at the time of drying is in the range of 0.1 MPa or more and 3.5 MPa or less. |
