Many pest control agents have been used for many years, but many of them have various problems, such as insufficient efficacy, pests and the like gaining resistance and restricting their use. Therefore, development of a novel pesticidal agent having few such defects is desired. An object of the present invention is to provide a compound or a salt thereof that is highly active against pests. The present invention relates to an N- (4-pyridyl) nicotinamide compound represented by the following formula (I) or a salt thereof.
