titleOfInvention | Oxazoline-based dispersants for carbon materials, etc. and carbon composite materials using them |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hydrophilicity, adhesiveness, and fibrous carbon materials on the surface of various carbon materials by a simple method without requiring special dispersion and surface treatment techniques and equipment and without impairing the original characteristics of carbon materials. The present invention provides a dispersion promoter, an adhesion improver and a sizing agent which can impart focusing, and also provides a surface-modified carbon material and a carbon composite, the surface of which is modified by using the adhesive enhancer. SOLUTION: A copolymer (A) containing a 2-oxazoline monomer (a) and a low Tg vinyl monomer (b) as a constituent unit promotes dispersion of the carbon material in another material, and the surface of the carbon material It has been found that it exhibits unique performance in improving adhesion and focusing on fibrous carbon materials. Moreover, the surface-modified carbon material and various carbon composite materials to which adhesiveness was provided were able to be acquired by making it react with various carbon materials using the adhesiveness improvement agent which consists of the said copolymer.
