abstract | Provided is a polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer capable of expressing both an excellent viscosity reducing effect, an excellent pipe passage property, and an excellent water-reducing property in a well-balanced manner with respect to the hydraulic powder-containing composition. Moreover, the concrete admixture containing such a polycarboxylic acid-type copolymer is provided. Also provided are concrete compositions comprising such concrete admixtures. The polycarboxylic acid copolymer of the present invention is a structural unit (I) derived from an unsaturated polyalkylene glycol monomer (a) represented by a specific general formula with respect to 100% by mass of all structural units: 35% by mass to 88.5% by mass, a carboxylic acid-based structural unit represented by a specific general formula (II): 8% by mass to 35% by mass, and a carboxylic acid represented by a specific general formula (III) Alkyl ester structural unit: It contains 3.5 mass%-30 mass%, and a weight average molecular weight is 30000 or less. |
